Khor virap monastery, Noravank monastery and wine tasting in the middle of the vineyard
We will start the day with a photostop, from where we have a mesmerizing view over mount Ararat. Then we will visit Khor virap monastery, the site, where St Gregory the Illuminator was prisoned for 13 years. Later we will head to Vayots dzor region, which is a true jewel of Armenia, considered to be the cradle of Armenian winemaking. Here we will have a stop at medieval Noravank monastery, where the landscape is especially beautiful. At the end of our day we will enjoy our wine tasting and lunch at the vineyards, under the open sky.
