Depart from your hotel in downtown Beijing at 7AM and drive 2 hours directly to the Guyaju Ancient Cave, which is a huge and complex structure carved on the sandy granite rocks of the cliff wall by the Xi people during the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties period, and is listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in Beijing, as the date of its excavation, its historical background and its use are still subject to different interpretations.
It was the largest cliff dwelling site found in North China, is called the “China's First Maze”, which was built by the ancient ancestors on the steep cliffs, with a total of 117 caves. It is the largest and highest grade ancient cave settlement site found in Beijing. Afterwards, we will have lunch at Jade Restaurant, enjoy the tea ceremoney and taste 4 kinds of excellent quality Chinese tea before returning to the hotel.
