Experience the best of Moreton Island & resort life on this day trip to Tangalooma Island Resort. Check in & confirm your tour times with staff at the Ticket hut before cruising across the bay to Moreton Island on a scenic boat ride (don't forget to look out for dolphins!). You may choose to enjoy a complimentary beverage either on the boat ride or the return journey.
Arrive at beautiful Tangalooma Island Resort after a 75-minute scenic boat cruise, where you'll have full access to all the resort facilities including pools, restaurants, bars & more. Your Day trip also includes a lunch voucher to keep those rumbling tummies at bay.
Then on the Desert Safari Tour, you’ll travel out to the Tangalooma Desert where the thrilling and bumpy 4WD bus ride to get there is half the fun!
During your trip, you'll travel through the dense bushland of Moreton Island, the world's third-largest sand island. You can then choose to participate in the exhilarating sport of Moreton Island sand tobogganing, reaching speeds of up to 40km per hour. Perfect for everyone from beginners to thrill-seekers as you can choose your own pace.
After your tour, take some time to explore the resort facilities, restaurants, pools and stunning beach. You’ll have plenty of time for a refreshing dip in the ocean, to watch the daily Kookaburra feed or head into the Eco-Center for a video on the World of Dolphins.
As the sun begins to set, head to B&B bar to enjoy a cocktail or mocktail, from the best seats in the house before making your way to the jetty to see a family of wild dolphins as they grace the shores of Tangalooma Island Resort for their nightly feed.
After your fun-packed day, the evening boat departs for Brisbane between 7:00 & 8:00pm (depending on the season). After the 75-minute return journey, you will arrive back in Brisbane at approximately 8:15 - 9:15pm.

• In the event of wet weather, Desert Safari Tour will operate as a sightseeing tour and visit the Tangalooma Wrecks.
• The dolphin viewing experience is dependent on dolphin attendance, tides, and weather conditions.
• Some of the activities and tours are physically demanding and may pose a health or safety risk. For safety reasons, please advise if you are suffering from any injury, medical conditions (such as pregnancy, epilepsy or cardiovascular conditions), disability, disease, or illness which may be aggravated by participation in or may interfere with your ability to safely participate.
• The tour return time varies throughout the year according to sunset and typically departs Moreton Island at 7:00 PM in winter, 7:30 PM in autumn and spring, and 8:00 PM in summer to arrive in Brisbane approx. 75 minutes later.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
