Art Nouveau Museums & Houses:

Belgian Comic Strip Center
Since the Belgian Comic Strip Center moved, in 1989, into one of Victor Horta’s architectural beauties, it brings together Art Nouveau and Ninth Art.

Hôtel van Eetvelde
The Hôtel van Eetvelde was designed, in the words of Victor Horta himself, as «the most daring plan he had ever done».

Wolfers Frères Stores
Designed by Victor Horta, the Wolfers’ jewelry store was officially inaugurated in 1912. In 1973, the shop furnishings were gifted by the Wolfers family to the Art & History Museum.

Autrique House
The first landmark building by Victor Horta, the Autrique House heralds the birth of Art Nouveau. It also provides a better understanding of the historical and aesthetic interest of classic Brussels mansions.

Cauchie House
This house is one of the most exceptional Art Nouveau masterpieces in Brussels. Built in 1905, it was originally home to Paul Cauchie and Caroline Voet, a couple of artists and decorators.

Hannon House
This house is one of the masterpieces of Art Nouveau in Brussels. Standing at the crossroads of Belgian and French Art Nouveau, it represents a symbolist and dream-like world.

Musical Instruments Museum
A flagship of the Brussels’ Art Nouveau movement, the «Old England», as it is still called today, is the creation of the architect Paul Saintenoy who was nevertheless not an Art Nouveau specialist.

Horta Museum
The Horta Museum is situated in the home and studio of architect Victor Horta. These buildings were constructed by the architect at the height of Art Nouveau.
