Explore the Ninh Binh province on a 2-day tour from Hanoi. Visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, take a boat trip in Tam Coc, and climb to the top of Mua Cave. On the second day, visit Bich Dong Pagoda, Thai Vi Temple, and Thung Nham Bird Valley.

Day 1: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave
Get picked up from your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Ninh Binh province. Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. Learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.

Cycle around the village for sightseeing and discovering the life of the local people. Have a buffet lunch at Ninh Binh Excursion Restaurant. Visit Tam Coc by a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride. Be surprised by the charming beauty of the paddy fields, river, water, cloud, sky, and a stunning cave system during the boat trip.

Get back to the bus and leave for Mua Cave (Dragon Peak). Walk up almost 500 steps to reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain and have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc. Check in to your bungalow or hotel and have dinner.

Day 2: Bich Dong Pagoda, Thai Vi Temple, Thung Nham Bird Valley
After breakfast, cycle to visit the Thai Vi Temple and Bich Dong Pagoda. Check out and have lunch in the restaurant with a lot of local foods. Continue to Thung Nham Bird Valley.

Get on a small sampan to discover Hang But (Buddhist Cave), about 500m in length, a magical view of the stalactites and stalagmites, and see a big Buddha-shaped stalactite sitting beside an underground river. Visit an orchard of tropical fruits in this area.

Sit quietly on a boat and slowly paddle through Thung Chim (Thung Nham), discover the most features of this area with more than 4,000 birds of 40 species flying to inhabit every day. Take nice photos and immerse yourself in the wild and nature. Get on the bus to return to Hanoi and get dropped off at your hotel.
