7:00 AM: Depart from Hanoi and travel approximately 90 km south to Ninh Binh, with a brief 20-minute stop along the way to stretch your legs.

Your first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from the 10th century. Wander through the beautifully preserved temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le Dynasties, learning about the rich history of the region.

Then, prepare for a moderate hike to Mua Cave, where you can ascend Ngoa Long Mountain. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of the stunning Tam Coc valley and its limestone peaks, rice fields, and winding rivers.

After the hike, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.

Next, you’ll have two exciting options to choose from:

Option 1: Continue on to Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its spectacular natural beauty. Enjoy a 2.5-hour boat ride through the region’s dramatic limestone karsts, navigated by local boatmen. As you journey along the Sao Khe River, you’ll pass through several limestone caves, visit historic temples, and see the famous King Kong film set. The boat will also take you through a network of caves, including Sang Cave, Toi Cave, and Nau Ruou Cave—an unforgettable journey through this natural wonderland.

Option 2: Remain in Tam Coc and enjoy lunch at a cozy local restaurant nearby. Afterward, embark on a scenic sampan boat ride, with two people sharing a boat. Drift lazily down the river, surrounded by lush rice fields, charming villages, and majestic limestone mountains. Along the way, you’ll pass through three unique caves: Hang Ca (First Cave), Hang Hai (Second Cave), and Hang Ba (Third Cave), creating an almost magical experience as you navigate through these natural tunnels.

In the late afternoon, board the bus for the return trip to Hanoi, where you'll arrive by 7:30 PM
