Head out to Cu Chi in the early morning on a full-day tour of this agricultural area that’s only 35 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.

Cu Chi is famous for its cattle. You’ll see herds of wandering cows in the fields, and learn how the local people still maintain the agricultural traditions of their ancestors.

See the vegetable gardens, and the areas where mushrooms, fruits, and herbs are grown. Learn about mushroom cultivation methods and encounter some unusual fruits. Gain an understanding of the use of herbs for health and incorporating healthy produce into your meals.

Put on your traditional Vietnamese hat, grab your bamboo basket and scissors, and head to the garden to pick vegetables, mushrooms, fruits, and herbs that you’ll use in your cooking class.

After gathering your fresh produce, you’ll go to the restaurant where your class is held. Learn regional cooking techniques under the guidance of a professional chef. Prepare Vietnamese dishes as you learn some great tips for cooking healthy and delicious food.
