Discover science in action and make discoveries right alongside the scientists. Step into the past and experience the Ice Age come to life as you explore the world's only active, urban Ice Age excavation site.

Check out the La Brea Tar Pits where tar is still bubbling. See what excavators have uncovered today at the active fossil excavation site.

Enter the museum and watch as scientists clean and study the unearthed fossils right before your eyes in the Fossil Lab. The museum showcases the best fossils, animals and plants that have been discovered here - mammoths, saber-toothed cats, dire wolves, and more.

It’s a gateway back to the Ice Age, right in the heart of Los Angeles.

• The opening times as follows: daily from 09:30 AM to 5:00 PM (check website for closed holidays)
• There is a parking lot onsite for an additional fee
• The Excavator Tour is free with General Admission. Make your timed reservation when you arrive. Space is limited and not guaranteed
