Go on an adventure in the morning in a 4x4 from Djerba, at 6:30 a.m., to fully enjoy your day. Take the Roman road, connecting the mainland to the island of Djerba, which also plays a crucial role in supplying the island with fresh water via a pipeline.
On the road leading to Médenine, cross magnificent fields of olive trees,
offering a picturesque view.
In Medenine take a coffee break to refresh yourself before heading to the desert and the oasis of Ksar Ghilane.
The road winding between the hills will gradually lead you to more arid and rocky landscapes, until the entrance of Ksar Ghilane where the desert sand will finally be present.
Enjoy lunch in a restaurant at the foot of the dunes, offering a unique atmosphere. In the oasis of Ksar Ghilane, you will have free time to relax and even bathe in the hot spring.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to take a camel ride (15€/h) or a quad (30€/h) to the Roman fort of Tisavar, adding a touch of adventure to your experience.
In the middle of the afternoon, take the road for your return to Djerba, on the way, we will make a stop to visit the Ksar Hallouf, an opportunity to discover another aspect of local architecture and history.
