Early Morning Departure: Depart from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha early in the morning after breakfast. The drive to the Marangu Gate takes about an hour.

Registration at Marangu Gate: Upon arrival at the gate, you will register with the park authorities. This is also where you will meet your guide and porters.

Start Trekking to Mandara Hut: Begin your trek through the lush rainforest. The trail is well-maintained and offers opportunities to see various flora and fauna, including Colobus monkeys.

Lunch at Mandara Hut: After approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, you will reach Mandara Hut, where you can enjoy a packed lunch while taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Return Hike to Marangu Gate: After lunch and some rest, begin your descent back to the Marangu Gate. The return journey will take another 3-4 hours.
