Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guide for a briefing and an equipment check to ensure you're ready for the trek. Any missing gear can be rented.

Day 2: Moshi to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
After breakfast, a 2-3 hour drive takes you through villages and coffee plantations to Rongai Gate. The trek begins through fields of maize and potatoes, then into the montane forest, home to diverse wildlife. Reach Simba Camp for fantastic views over the Kenyan plains.

Day 3: Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp
Begin a steady ascent to the Second Cave, where you'll stop for lunch. The trail then leads across moorland towards Kikelewa Camp in a sheltered valley for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 4: Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Hut
Climb up grassy slopes for superb views, then continue to Mawenzi Tarn Hut, nestled beneath the towering Mawenzi Peak. Spend the night at this scenic camp.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day
Spend the day at Mawenzi Tarn for acclimatization. Take a short hike up toward Mawenzi Peak, then return to camp for lunch and rest.

Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn Hut to Kibo Huts Camp
Cross the lunar desert between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks to reach Kibo Huts at the base of Kibo’s crater wall. Rest and prepare for the summit attempt.

Day 7: Summit Day – Kibo Huts Camp to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Huts Camp
Start at midnight for the summit push. Reach Gilman’s Point on the crater rim at sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating, descend to Kibo Huts, have lunch, and continue to Horombo Huts for the night.

Day 8: Horombo Huts Camp to Marangu Gate to Moshi
After breakfast, descend through the moorland to Mandara Huts for lunch, then continue through the forest to Marangu Gate. After signing out, return to your Moshi hotel for a well-deserved celebration and certificate presentation.
