Try out a special Alaskan activity and go for a mushing cart ride. Appreciate the summer months up north and learn all about the Alaskan Huskies while they take a break from their winter work. Be one with the pack, find out if you're alpha enough, and run loose in the sun.
Since it's too hot out for the dogs to run their usual mileage, climb aboard a mushing cart and let them pull you through the experience. First, join a mushing presentation and learn all about the working dog temperament, pack mentality, and their 1,000-mile races.
Then, meet each member of the team and get into a comfortable UTV as the dogs pull you around the block. Feel the power of these double-coated animals, and be amazed at their strength, personalities, and beautiful way of life.

Please wear appropriate clothing to be around happy dogs with dusty paws who like to jump and give kisses
The cart ride is dictated by weather and is at the musher’s discretion to remove the cart ride portion if the temperature puts the dog's well-being at risk
The meeting point is located 45-minutes east of Fairbanks.

Important Driving Instructions:
Chena Hot Springs Road East and follow the green mile markers to Mile Post 21. Take a right onto Grange Hall Road, followed by a left onto Snow Leopard Drive. In ~1 mile there will be a road sign posted with a right arrow reading "The Mushing Co-op". Take a right onto Gettinger Road and continue until you see a gate and signs that read the "Mushing Co-op”.
DRIVE SLOW, we have retired sled dogs that are enjoying their golden years whom are loose on the property. Some are old, deaf and blind. 10 MPH limit.
When you arrive at the establishment, you will a mongolian teal and white yurt and sled dogs. If you don't see "Last Frontier Mushing Co-op" signs, you're at a private residence.
If traveling from Chena Hot Springs Resort, take the Chena Hot Springs Road West, and take a left onto Grange Hall. DO NOT USE KAUFFMAN LANE.
