Day 1: Colombo-Anuradhapura-Sigiriya
Embark on an exciting and very rare 3-day cultural tour of Sri Lanka's holiest, the Cultural Triangle.

Start your journey with a pickup in Colombo or Airport, heading to your hotel in Sigiriya. On this 3-day tour, your first activity is a hop-on, hop-off city tour of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's oldest city. This tour covers numerous historic sites, including ancient Buddhist temples, dagobas, palaces, gardens, and other impressive structures that showcase the grandeur of ancient civilization. You’ll also visit the sacred "Atamasthana" – the eight most revered Buddhist sites in Anuradhapura: Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya, Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya, Lovamahapaya, Abhayagiri Dagaba, Jetavanarama, Mirisaveti Stupa, and Lankarama. End the day with a restful night at your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 2: Sigiriya-Polonnaruwa-Sigiriya
After breakfast, head to the Sigiriya rock fortress, home to one of the world’s oldest landscaped gardens. Starting early to avoid the midday heat, climb to the summit to explore the remains of the king's palace, a swimming pool, and the royal throne, all while taking in breathtaking views from the top. Later, visit the Pidurangala Temple nearby.

Continue to Polonnaruwa, where you’ll explore a collection of ancient temples, Buddha statues, and structures built by past kings. See impressive stone-carved Buddha statues, dagobas, an audience hall, and more at Polonnaruwa's cultural museum.

In the afternoon, embark on an off-road jeep safari around Minneriya Lake, where you’ll have the chance to spot wildlife at Minneriya National Park. Look out for wild elephants, bears, wild boars, deer, buffalo, monkeys, and perhaps even a leopard.
Stay overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 3: Sigiriya-Kandy-Colombo
Depart early for Colombo, traveling via Kandy and stopping at a spice and herbal garden along the way. In Matale, discover how spices and herbs are traditionally used in Sri Lankan cuisine and medicine as your guide shares the site’s history.

Continue to the Dambulla Golden Temple, which features over 150 Buddha statues and numerous ancient murals, and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, both adding a profound spiritual dimension to your journey. Your next destination is Kandy City, a significant Sri Lankan city due to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, the island’s most visited Buddhist shrine, drawing thousands of devotees daily. Finally, return to your hotel in Colombo.
