It is without a doubt one of the most impressive destinations in the Basque Country, lying within the UNSCO Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and featuring a stunning coastal environment with white cliffs and gorgeous beaches.

The amazing Basque Txakoli DOP wineries are located close to this protected natural area, therefore you must visit a family winery to complete this unforgettable experience.

You will visit San Juan Bautista's hermitage and  Climb 241 steps to be rewarded with amazing views from the top! Make a wish from the top of the bell and take in the beautiful sights.

We'll take you on a tour of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) on our way to the amazing Txakoli wineries. You will visit a family winery on a prime site in the natural region of Biscay, which is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Txakoli wine is a local favorite. The white wine of choice among Basques and Basque sailors.

Lunch will consist of regional appetisers and pintxos, which will be complemented with regional wines.

Note that the steps to the hermitage are now undergoing renovations, so access to the chapel may be restricted!
