When travelling through Qatar, there’s no need to wish your time away at the airport. If your transit at Hamad International Airport is 8 hours or more, you can turn your stop into an extended holiday. We make this as simple as possible for you by taking care of all of your transit arrangements and ensuring you are back in good time for your onward flight. You can then make the most of your transit time by taking a break from your travels to discover Qatar, and explore its unique Arabic heritage, before connecting to your final destination.
Transit Excusive - Discover the Desert and Inland Sea
From the Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk, you will be escorted to our air-conditioned vehicle to begin the tour. We drive approximately 1 hour to the entrance of the desert at Sealine, where we have a brief stop to deflate our tyres.
From here, the adventure starts with our off-road desert drive through the dramatic sand dunes. Your experienced driver will navigate the dunes until we reach Khor-Al-Adaid, or the inland sea. You will have an opportunity to take in the magnificent desert landscape, visit the towering Sheraton Dune and marvel at the azure waters of the Arabian Sea before we depart for a brief comfort stop at our desert camp on the way back to Hamad International Airport.

We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, clothes, and carry a hat and sunblock.
Note: Due to the adventurous nature and type of terrain covered in our off-road tours and excursions, pregnant women, children (aged 6 years of age and under requiring either a baby or toddler car seat), persons with cardiac problems, back pain, back injuries, neck pain and/or neck injuries, are not permitted to participate in the tours and excursion.

This tour is only available to customers with a minimum transit time of 8 hours (between arrival and departure flight schedule).
All customers must have Qatar Immigration Clearance in either the form of a pre-approved visa or visa on arrival (95 countries can now take advantage of visa-free entry)
Customers should approach Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk (located in Duty Free Plaza South, behind the escalators between concourse A & B) no later than 2 hours prior to scheduled tour departure for service validation.
Late arrivals to Discover Qatar Transit Tours desk shall be considered as a no-show.
