Starting Point: Pico do Arieiro:
Begin your journey from Pico do Arieiro. This is accessible by road, and there is a parking area available. Pico do Arieiro is the third-highest peak on the island of Madeira.

Hiking Trail:
The hike from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo is part of the famous Vereda do Areeiro trail. It's a challenging but breathtaking hike known for its stunning views. The trail is well-marked, but make sure to check the weather conditions before you start, as the weather in the mountains can change rapidly.

Duration:
The hike usually takes around 4 to 5 hours one way, depending on your pace and the conditions. Distance 9 kilometers .It's essential to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring enough water and snacks.

Pico Ruivo:
Once you reach Pico Ruivo, you'll be rewarded with magnificent panoramic views of the island. Pico Ruivo is the highest peak in Madeira, offering stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Transportation:
We provide the transportations from your hotel to the strat of the hike and from Achadas do Teixeira to your Hotel.

On the way back to your hotel we can visit the Typical houses of Madeira and some viewpoints from the north side of Madeira.
