Colca Canyon Excursion 2 Days with End in Puno

Enjoy a unique experience visiting the main viewpoints of the Colca Canyon, the thermal baths and the main town of Colca, where we will spend the night.
DAY 01:
Pick up at hotels in the center of Arequipa. We will begin our journey towards one of the deepest and most spectacular canyons in the world. Our destination will be the town of Chivay, which we will reach in about 4 hours, including all the tourist stops. First, we will cross the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will be able to observe the local vicuñas. Then, we will stop in Patahuasi to enjoy the traditional coca tea, an essential drink to prevent altitude sickness. We will also make a brief stop at the Toccra Bofedales, where we will see alpacas grazing freely. The next stop will be at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the journey at 4,800 m.a.s.l., from where you can admire a large part of the western mountain range; from there, it will only be 40 minutes to reach Chivay.

We will arrive in Chivay and enjoy lunch (not included). After lunch, we will stay at our respective hotels. In the afternoon, we will have the option to relax in the Hot Springs (optional entrance, payment by the client), with thermal-medicinal waters that vary between 35º C and 38º C. For dinner (not included), we can attend a folkloric show with traditional dances from the region. We will spend the night in Chivay.

DAY 02:
Breakfast. After breakfast, we will go to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, 30 minutes away, the best place to observe the Colca Canyon and the majestic flight of the condor. We will be there for approximately 45 minutes to appreciate the beauty of the canyon. On the way back, we will make stops at several viewpoints in the area to see the impressive terraces of the valley and in the town of Maca, where we will visit its church and, optionally, we can taste local drinks such as the Colca Sour, made with regional products.

Lunch in Chivay (not included). Afterwards, we will return to Arequipa. If we do not visit all the tourist spots on the first day, we can do so on the way back, depending on the time available and the group.

We will board a new transport with the assistance of our guide, since we will not return to Arequipa, but our trip will end in Puno. The journey to Puno includes tourist transport with a professional guide and stops to see attractions and protected natural areas along the route between Colca and Puno.

We will arrive in the city of Puno and disembark at the Puno bus station, located 5 minutes by taxi from the city center, next to Lake Titicaca. Our service will end here.
