Embark on a 4-day adventure in the Peruvian Amazon. Explore the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve and remote areas away from civilization. Enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, bird watching, and fishing for piranhas.

Day 1:

Depart from your hotel around 8:30 AM. Begin your hike to camp and explore the magic of the jungle until you reach the camp located on the Yarapa River, in a protected area. After lunch, embark on your first excursion to observe the river dolphins. In the Amazon, have the opportunity to observe two species of river dolphins, the pink and the gray.

After dinner, go on a night excursion in the jungle. Look for nocturnal creatures such as snakes, frogs, spiders, tarantulas, and giant frogs.

Day 2:

Start your day with an early excursion around 5:00 AM. At this time, enjoy the beautiful sunrise and observe colorful birds and monkeys of different species in their natural habitat. Afterward, take a walk through the jungle. By walking in the primary forest, not only have the opportunity to observe wildlife, but also learn some basic jungle survival skills.

In the afternoon, go on an excursion and walk through the jungle in search of sloth bears, macaws, different types of monkeys, and more. Pass by two beautiful lakes. In the evening, go on a night boat excursion to look for alligators. If you are lucky, you might see jaguars on the river bank.

Day 3:

In the morning, observe some species of birds that can only be found inside the jungle and far from any native community. Walk around a lagoon to have the opportunity to look for tracks or the physical presence of some species of animals such as jaguar, sajinos, and capybaras.

Walk to meet one of the species of trees considered giant in the Amazon as it reaches more than 65 meters tall. Go on a night excursion to look for night monkeys and possible small cats within the jungle.

Day 4:

After breakfast, visit a lake, where you can find the famous giant water lilies. As the last highlight of your 4-day tour, fish for some piranhas, the most dangerous fish in the Amazon River. If you are lucky enough to catch one, there is the possibility of trying it for lunch.

After lunch, return to Iquitos at 5:00 PM.
