Start the tour with pick up from your hotel or a designated meeting point in Cusco. The departure is usually very early, around 3-4 AM, to ensure you reach Rainbow Mountain early and avoid crowds.

Travel to Rainbow Mountain: The journey to Rainbow Mountain takes about 3, the route usually passes through picturesque Andean landscapes, with stops for breakfast in Cusipata town.

Upon arrival to the base camp, you can use facilities, and acclimatize to the altitude. Rainbow Mountain sits at an altitude of about 5,200 meters (17,060 feet), so it's essential to take it easy and stay hydrated.

Hike to the Viewpoint: The hike to the viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and fitness level. The trail can be steep and challenging due to the altitude, so it's recommended to go at a comfortable pace.
