This wonderful trek begins with a 6:00 am hotel pick-up in Cusco. After a 2-hour drive to Ollantaytambo, we'll stop for an energizing breakfast before embarking on a challenging 2-hour uphill hike to the cachiccata quarry. This quarry supplied stones for the construction of temples and palaces in the Inca town of Ollantaytambo. Along the way, we'll also see tombs (chullpas) and stone transport ramps used by the Incas. Enjoy a box lunch in this beautiful place before continuing for about 1 hour to the Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku), offering panoramic views of the sacred valley and the impressive Nevado Verónica. This place is considered magical and mystical, so take your time to fully enjoy it. Finally, we'll return to the community of Cachicata, descending for about 2 hours, where our private transport will be waiting to take us back to Ollantaytambo and then to Cusco. Our services will conclude with a drop-off at your respective hotel.
