Cusco: Rainbow Mountain - Vinicunca full day

Early in the morning, approximately between 04:30 and 05:00 AM, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin our fascinating adventure. We will board a tourist vehicle that will take us to the picturesque town of Cusipata, in a journey of approximately two hours. On our trip, we will have the opportunity to enjoy charming towns, as well as observe llamas, alpacas, and local inhabitants in their daily activities.

Once in the town of Cusipata (3,310 meters above sea level), we will share a delicious breakfast in the company of the group, and then continue towards the Phulawasipata camp (4,650 meters above sea level). From this point, we will begin an ascending walk of approximately one hour and 30 minutes until we reach the spectacular Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain (5,090 meters above sea level).

The Vinicunca viewpoint will be the perfect setting to capture photographs and to delight in the impressive panoramic views that surround this wonderful place. After a period of exploration and admiration of the Nevado de Ausangate (6,384 meters above sea level), our professional guide will provide a detailed explanation about the importance and magnificence of this place.

For the return, we will descend towards Phulawasipata and from there we will return to the town of Cusipata. There, a succulent lunch will await us before heading back to Cusco in our transportation, estimating our arrival in the city around 4:30 p.m.
