Arequipa: Excursion to the Colca Canyon + Transfer to Cusco

Live a unique experience visiting the main viewpoints of the Colca Canyon, the thermal baths with transfer to Cusco.
DAY 1

We begin by picking up passengers at the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa to begin the journey to Yura. The trip will go directly to the Cruz del Cóndor, with a single stop for breakfast.

Upon arriving at the Cruz del Cóndor, we will enjoy the view of one of the deepest canyons in the world and the condor sanctuary. On the way back, we will make stops in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque, known for their beautiful colonial churches, as well as at the Miradores de Antahuilque and Choquetico, from where we will be able to observe pre-Incan tombs and models and admire the impressive Colca landscape with its terraces. We will also be able to enjoy the typical costumes, the camelids and trained birds, and taste traditional drinks such as the Colca Sour, made in Sancayo.

A highlight stop will be in the town of Maca, where we will interact with the locals, learn about their traditions and typical costumes, and taste drinks made with natural products.

Then, we will head to the Chacapi hot springs, with natural views, where we can relax in its waters or enjoy the scenery. We will also have the option to participate in adventure activities such as canopy, ATVs, or kayaking.

We will have an hour for lunch in Chivay. Afterwards, the guide will take us to our respective accommodations and drop us off at the main square of Chivay. After settling in, we will have the afternoon free to explore the town, stroll through its streets, visit other hot springs, or enjoy a show of typical Colca dances in a restaurant, as well as participate in adventure activities such as ATVs, horses, or canopy.

DAY 2

We will begin the journey heading to the upper part of the Colca Valley, passing through the traditional villages of Tuti and Sibayo, and stopping to admire the impressive castles of Callalli.

Then, we will pass near the Condoroma dam, at 4,737 m.a.s.l., and continue towards the “stone forest” in the Yauri area (traditional village). Later, we will make a stop at the Langui lagoon, a beautiful 25 km long body of water.

In the final part of the trip, we will make a 50-minute stop in Sicuani so that passengers who wish to can enjoy a buffet lunch or explore other options. Afterwards, we will resume the trip, passing through the towns of Andahuaylillas and Urcos, until we reach the imperial city of Cusco.
