Programme Day 1: Arequipa - Chivay We will start the day by picking you up from your hotel in Arequipa at 8:00 am and head north to Chivay. On the way, we'll make a quick stop at the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve to see vicuñas in their natural habitat - a unique experience! We will also enjoy views of the lagoons and wetlands of Tocrapampa and stop at the Mirador de los Andes in Patapampa to take in the scenery of the mountain range. We will arrive in Chivay, where you will have an hour and a half of free time to have lunch on your own at a local restaurant. After settling in at the hotel, we will head to the thermal baths of La Calera so you can relax in this heavenly setting. Did you know that these waters have medicinal properties? The night in Chivay can be enjoyed at your leisure. You can choose to have dinner on your own accompanied by a folkloric show. We will finish the day by dropping you off at your hotel in Chivay at 17:00. Day
2: Chivay - Colca Canyon - Arequipa After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the impressive Colca Canyon. Upon arrival, we will visit the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, a perfect place to capture amazing images and marvel at the nature of this deep ravine, one of the largest in the world. Will we be lucky enough to witness the majestic flight of the condors? We hope so, it is an unforgettable spectacle! Before leaving, we will explore the viewpoints of Wayrapunko, Antahuilque and Choquetico, magical places that offer us different perspectives of the ancient pre-Inca cultures. Afterwards, we will stop in the picturesque villages of Maca and Yanque to rest. We will reconvene and return to Chivay for lunch before the return journey to Arequipa. After approximately three hours of driving, we will arrive at your hotel at around 17:00 hours for the end of the tour. Accommodation The tour includes one night's accommodation in a hostel in Chivay in a double room. Pick-up Pick-up service is available from hotels located within a 1 kilometre radius of Arequipa's Plaza de Armas. If your hotel is outside this area, you will have to go to the meeting point at the Plaza de Armas at the indicated time.
