Enjoy the 3-day, 2-night Tambopata Sunset tour. Make the most of your stay in harmony with nature, enjoy the sunset on the river, observe a great variety of flora and fauna native to the area.
DAY 1: CONNECT WITH THE TAMBOPATA JUNGLE
Reception and heading to our lodge to begin the adventure, the 35-minute boat ride to the lodge that is located near the Madre de Dios River. Presentation of the lodge and rooms
with private bathroom.
Typical lunch
Environmental interpretation walk in a trail system to learn the uses of the forest, in addition to learning about medicinal plants on the same trails we sometimes have the opportunity to find monkeys, squirrels, tarantulas. (1.5 hrs)
Around 3:30 pm. We go by boat along the Tambopata River to enjoy the colors of the afternoon during the sunset, after this we start looking for white caimans and capybaras on the banks.
A short break in our boat with very comfortable seats with a panoramic view and while we look for sloths, and tropical birds around the river. We grab our flashlights to search; Capybaras, white caimans, herons that are on the shores. 90% of finding capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world.
Return to our private cabins
DAY 2: SANDOVAL LAKE (TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE)
The walk is 3 kilometers (1 hour) our path is very clean and connects with a well-preserved bridge to reach the lake and where we can find:
monkeys up to 4 species
snakes
tarantulas
tropical birds
parrots
Mammals
At the end of the walk, a canoe awaits us to go to our cabins exploring Sandoval Lake.
We explore the right bank to look for fauna around the lake and on the way we can find; tropical birds on the shore, herons, caimans, and the giant river otter 2 meters long.

If we have energy we can do a night walk: we will observe spiders, tarantulas, frogs, toads, nocturnal animals, night monkey, snakes.

DAY 3: PUERTO MALDONADO
Amazonian sunrise and departure to Puerto Maldonado. This morning you will be able to enjoy the sunrise and capture the stunning views of the Madre de Dios River. You will enjoy a last nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry before leaving. Your guide and the staff in charge will say goodbye to you and thank you for visiting this part of the Amazon. You will travel by canoe with an outboard motor back to Puerto Maldonado.
Depending on your departure time, you will be able to relax and calmly wait for your bus home or to your next destination.
