On this trekking route to the Churup Lagoon, a walk through the Huascaran National Park awaits us, where we will find captivating landscapes. The experience will be rewarding!
At 7:00 a.m., we will leave Huaraz in a comfortable vehicle, passing through picturesque Andean villages until we reach Pitec, located at 3850 meters above sea level. From this point, we will enjoy breathtaking views of outstanding snow-capped peaks of the Huascaran National Park, such as Vallunaraju, Ocshapalca, Ranrapalca, Rimarima, San Juan and Churup, our final destination.
We will start the trekking route ascending the ridge starting from Pitec. During the two-hour hike, we will encounter steep slopes where the use of ropes will be necessary to facilitate the ascent. However, our guide will be present to provide assistance. Once we arrive at the Churup lagoon, located at the foot of the snow-capped peak of the same name, we will have free time to admire the views and relax in the surrounding area. Afterwards, we will return to Pitec to board the minibus that will take us back to Huaraz.
The excursion will conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m., leaving you back at your hotel.
