2-Day Ghorepani Poon Hill Short Trek from Pokhara

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a beautiful and relatively easy trek from Pokhara that takes you through charming villages and dense forests, culminating in a breathtaking sunrise view from Poon Hill of the majestic Himalayas.

Day 1:
Start the day with a yummy breakfast and hop on a cool off-roading car to begin your adventure from Pokhara. The drive to Upper Ulleari can take anywhere from 3-4 hours depending on traffic, time of year, and if you want to stop for some amazing views. Once you arrive at Ullerri, a lovely Gurung village at 2,090 meters altitude, the real trek begins! Cross through Banthanti, Nangithanti, and Lower Ghorepani, and have a delicious lunch in either Banthanti or Nangithanti. The day's journey ends at the Ghorepani camp, nestled at the base of Poon Hill, which is 2,860 meters high. Enjoy a cozy cottage, dinner, and a peaceful night's sleep.

Day 2:
Wake up before the sun and get ready for a breathtaking hike! Trek 45-60 minutes to reach the top of Poon Hill, which is 3,210 meters high. Watch the sunrise and soak in the stunning panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas. On clear days, you can see up to 32 peaks, including the 12 peaks of the Bhara Shikhar. After your amazing experience, head back down the same trail and enjoy a hot breakfast at the camp. Finally, return to your hotel in Pokhara, where the 4wd Jeep will drop you off.
