Nepal: Rolwaling Trek with Parchamo Peak Climbing

The expedition to Parchamo Peak via the Rolwaling valley is an authentic adventure, serving as an ideal initiation into the world of Himalayan mountaineering.
Embarking on this expedition commences with a picturesque drive to Dolakha, the starting point of the Rolwaling Valley Trek. Trekking through the Rolwaling valley feels like a journey back in time, with traditional Sherpa villages, minimal lodges, and scarce trekkers. As you progress up the valley, the striking east face of Parchamo emerges above Tsho Rolpa lake. Upon reaching the lake's head, you will face the first significant climb of the expedition - the challenging ascent and crossing of the renowned Tashi Labsta La (5,755m). This 1,000m climb over rock, ice, and snow serves as excellent preparation for the upcoming ascent. After conquering the pass, the assault camp is established just below the ridge. Following a period of rest and rejuvenation, the final push towards the summit begins in the early morning hours, aiming to reach the top shortly after sunrise. The breathtaking Himalayan panorama that awaits at the 6,273m summit is truly unforgettable. Towards the north, close to the Tibetan border, lie unexplored mountains, while to the east stands the Khumbu region and the majestic Mt. Everest.

Returning to the high camp for breakfast, a challenging descent to Base Camp (4,780m) in the Thame Valley follows. The journey out leads through the charming Sherpa village of Thame, onward to Namche Bazaar, and concludes with a final ascent to Lukla for an exhilarating flight back to Kathmandu.
