Swayambhunath Stupa
The Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, is a sacred Buddhist site located on a hilltop just 3 km west of Kathmandu. Legend has it that the stupa was created spontaneously over 2,000 years ago when the Kathmandu Valley was formed from a primordial lake. As the oldest stupa in Nepal, it is home to many shrines and monasteries, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking spiritual enlightenment.

Pashupatinath Temple
Located just 5 km east of Kathmandu, the Pashupatinath Temple is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple's two-tiered pagoda boasts golden roofs and silver doors and houses the sacred linga, a phallic symbol representing Lord Shiva. According to historical records, the temple has been in existence since before 400 A.D. Adjacent to the temple, on the banks of the Bagmati River, lies Guheswari, a site where, according to legend, a portion of Sati Devi, Lord Shiva's consort, fell after her self-immolation and was carried by a grieving Shiva across the earth.

Bouddhanath Stupa
Bouddhanath Stupa has Situated 8 km to the east of downtown Kathmandu. Bauddhanath is one of the most imposing landmarks in Kathmandu, visible as soon as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport. It is the largest stupa in the Kathmandu Valley and is the center of Tibetan Buddhism
