Be picked up in Oaxaca City and head to the land of Alebrijes: San Martıń Tilcajete. Here you will learn about the process of making figures, carving, and painting an Alebrije.
After learning about the process of making Alebrije figures, it’s your turn to create, carve and paint one. With the help of an expert, you’ll follow the steps of making these figures into whatever your imagination can think of past creations include small animals, pegasus, aliens, and mythical figures.
During the activity, you will get a small wooden figure, a brush, and paint. You have about 90-minutes to paint your Alebrije according to your imagination. If you don't finish it, you can take it home and finish it there.
