All participants must obtain an International Driving permit (IDP) issued in the form of a booklet under the 1949 Geneva Convention from the Government Authorized Association to drive in Japan.
Vaild IDP are issued only in the country where you issued your national license and cannot be obtained online while traveling.
You cannot participate with photos or data. Please bring both your passport and the original IDP on the day.
The customer has an obligation to provide a valid IDP, If IDP is not valid in Japan, you cannot participate and we will not issue a refund
Drivers' licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium and Monaco must obtain a Japanese translation of their licenses from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), not an international driver's license.
A driver's license issued in a country that is not covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention (such as Mexico, Kuwait, China, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, etc.) cannot be operated in Japan
