Our tour begins from the fountain clock at Kanazawa Station and heads straight to Omicho Market for 15minutes.
Enjoy the atomosphere of the largest fresh food market in Kanazawa since the Edo Period.
There are about 200 shops lined up and while most shope specialize in the local food and produce, you can also find clothing, kitchen tools and more.

After enjoying your adventure in the market, walk to Kanazawa castle for 20 minutes.
The casle was the seat of the powerful Maeda Clan, lords of Kaga, a feudal domain ranking second only to the Tokugawa posessions in terms of size and wealth.
Your tour guide will explain about not only the place but also its history.

Then walk through Kenrokuen Garden which is one of Japan's three most beautiful gardens, and discover the beauty of Japanese garden design.
A stroll around Kenrokuen will help with understanding this landscape theory as the grounds are teeming with water features, bridges, teahouses, trees, flowers, stones, viewpoints and hidden nooks.
The beauty of this Japanese garden also changes with the seasons.

After the garden, make Japanese sweets (Wagashi) or Daruma with professionals.
They will show how to make one. You can make it into your special one and take your Daruma home.

The final destination is the Higashi Chaya District, historically a popular entertainment area where geisha entertained wealthy nobility and rich merchants.
Geisha culture still flourishes here. In the evenings, you can hear the sound of the shamisen and drums playing from the teahouses.
In the Higashi Chaya District, you can also try your hand at gold leaf pasting. Apply gold leaf to a postcard and create your own original design. It's a great opportunity to experience Kanazawa's traditional crafts.
