This 2.5-hour tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica will immerse you in both art and history. Your professional guide will tell you about the secrets and stories behind the magnificent works of art and architecture you encounter.
Begin at the Vatican Museums with skip-the-ticket-line access. Admire many masterpieces from different time periods, from classical Greek art to the Renaissance works of Michelangelo. Your guide will take you through the history the Catholic Church, and you’ll also hear about the rivalry among Renaissance artists.
After visiting the Museums, your guide will escort you to the Sistine Chapel, where you’ll stand in awe of Michelangelo’s masterpiece, The Last Judgment. • All visitors must pass through airport-style security. During high season the wait at security may be up to 30 minutes.
• A dress code applies at places of worship and the Vatican Museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops are allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. You may be refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
• A moderate amount of walking is involved.
• Student discounts only apply to those under 26 years of age with an International Student Card (ISIC), which must be shown on site. Child discounts apply from 7-18 years (a valid ID card should be shown on site for ages 14-18). Infants under 6 enter free of charge.
• This tour is not wheelchair accessible due to some difficulties in the Sistine Chapel.

You will receive a mandatory temperature check
You are required to bring and wear a mask
All participants over 12 years old must present one of the following: proof of full vaccination, proof of first vaccination administered at least 22 days ago, proof of a Covid-19 infection in the past 6 months, or a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before the activity starts
All participants must also bring a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. passport, driver's license, etc)
Masks are required while indoors
