Make or paint your own Carnival mask at a unique class in Venice. Learn more about ancient techniques as you put your new skills to the test to produce a stunning mask to keep and take home.
Create your own unique keepsake of Venice at a Carinval mask-making workshop. Choose from 2 different options on the day of the workshop and learn about the ancient techniques of creating masks from papier-mâché.
Get interesting information about the use of masks in Venice during previous centuries. Then, return to the laboratory after a few hours to collect your unadorned mask once it has had time to dry off.
Alternatively, discover how to paint and decorate your own mask with an experienced instructor. Choose a mask to decorate and to keep as a very special souvenir.

• There is a maximum of 6 persons per tour
• Appropriate clothing for painting is suggested
• If you are less than 6 people, the tour is not considered private but is shared with guests not belonging to the same party. The tour could be bilingual
• Tour does not operate in case of exceptional high tide (in these cases it can be postponed to the days after, otherwise it will be refunded)
• Please note that you will be able to take your own mask after 6 hours only (it is the necessary time the mask needs to dry)
• Unfortunately this tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties
All areas that customers touch are frequently cleaned
You must keep social distance while in vehicles
The number of visitors is limited to reduce crowds
You must bring your own headphones
You are required to bring and wear a mask
All participants who are 12 years and older must present a Reinforced Green Pass that is valid in the EU and has a verifiable QR code. Reinforced Green Passes can only be obtained by uploading either proof of full vaccination or proof of a Covid-19 infection within the last 6 months to either the Green Pass or Covid Certificate app
All participants must also bring a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. passport, driver's license, etc)

When your facing the entrance of San Zulian Church turn left onto a narrow street. You will then see the small square where the mask atelier is located.
