This tour consists of a walk around of the ancients roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, buried from the ashes of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD. See the highlights on a walking tour with a private guide or in a small group setting.

Herculaneum is much smaller but better preserved than Pompeii. While Pompeii was covered in 4 to 5 meters of ash, an avalanche of mud 20 meters thick buried Herculaneum.
Second storeys, carbonized wooden objects, intact paintings and mosaics are still fully visible. The city comes back to life with your guide's explanations.
