The Galileo Galilei Museum in Florence is the house of the Florentine mathematician and philosopher. Inside the museum, you can admire one of the richest scientific collections in the world, begun by Cosimo I de' Medici during the 16th century and continued by many of his successors, especially in 1657 when the scientific Academy of Assay was founded. Subsequently, this precious collection was also carried on by the Grand Duke Leopoldo from the family of Lorena.
