Experience the constant hustle and bustle of Javanese life and tour the city of Yogyakarta. Visit the Sultan's Palace, Taman Sari Water Castle and UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the ancient Borobudur or Prambanan temple on this full-day excursion.
Explore Yogyakarta, widely renowned as Java's educational center, and see some of the city's most prominent landmarks. Visit the Sultan's Palace, which dates back to the 17th century and is home to the current sultan. You will have 1.5 - 2 hours to spend at the palace before you head to Taman Sari Water Castle.
Continue on foot to the neighboring Water Castle and its gardens which was built in the mid-18th century as a resting, workshop, and meditation area for the royal family. After exploring the baths and pools of the complex, leave the city behind and travel to the grandeur Borobodur or Prambanan temple. There will be a stop for lunch before heading to the temple (not included).
You will have the option to visit Borobudur which is the world's largest Buddhist temple or to explore and admire the beauty of Prambanan temple. You will have about 2-3 hours to explore the temple before heading back to Yogyakarta.
