Embark on an underwater experience like no other: Snorkeling between tectonic plates at the Silfra Fissure. Silfra boasts up to 150m of underwater visibility and is frequently ranked as one of the top dive sites in the world.
Admire views of Iceland's stunning landscape as you ride from Reykjavik to the heart of Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Snorkel in this location for 45 min with your guide, before warming up with hot coco & cookies, then returning to the city. *Select Meet-on-Location to make your own way to Thingvellir - we'll meet you there!*
The glacier waters come from Langjökull, 50 km (30 miles) away, and make their way through lava fields to beautiful Thingvellir Lake. Although the chilly waters are too cold to support much in the way of marine life, Iceland's Silfra crack runs down between the American and European continental plates -drifting apart at 2cm per year- and offers amazing, ethereally blue underwater views.

• Please bring warm and waterproof outdoor clothing, headwear, gloves, warm undergarment clothing (fleece or wool sweater and pants), warm socks and a change of clothing.
• Those requiring corrective lenses for eyesight are advised to bring contact lenses, as eyeglasses do not fit under the snorkeling mask
• Participants need to be comfortable in the water and be able to swim
• You are unable to participate if you are pregnant, due to the small risk of cold water entering the suit
• The order of the itinerary can vary depending on weather conditions and other related factors
• It's important that you can both understand and communicate in English to participate in the tour
• Not permitted for people with lung disease, blood vessel disease, epilepsy/seizures or convulsions, heart problems, or those who have had recent chest or heart surgery
Park your car at Thingvellir Parking P5, then walk back 400m towards the main road until you reach the small parking lot for the snorkeling and diving vans. Look out for Arctic Adventure van.
