We propose a special tour of the island of La Gomera, delving into its history, geography, rich biodiversity, deep ravines shaped by erosion, and the lives of the islanders reclaiming land from the slopes to cultivate.
We'll visit all the municipalities of the island, each with its own peculiarities: the capital, San Sebastián, a place deeply connected to Columbus's legacy where the history of the Conquest of America comes alive in its streets and squares. Hermigua, the magical and enchanted valley of La Gomera, with its terraced fields of banana and avocado crops, representing the shift away from traditional monoculture in the Archipelago. Agulo with its charming, cobbled streets living up to its name, the "Bonbon of La Gomera." Vallehermoso, the birthplace of the renowned poet Pedro García Cabrera, with its extensive juniper groves under the laurel forests, or Valle Gran Rey, the former fishing village transformed into a tourist hub of the island, bathed by the Atlantic on its black sand beaches.
We'll delight in the numerous viewpoints that offer the best views of one of the lesser-known Canary Islands.
