Begin your day with a visit to the picturesque Zhinvali Reservoir. Continue to the fortress of Ananuri, which is located on a small cape at the confluence of the Aragvi and Vedzathevi rivers. Admire the ensemble, which was built in the 15th-18th centuries.
After leaving the Ananuri ensemble, continue your journey along the Georgian Military Road to the north. Near Ananuri, the Aragvi gorge gradually narrows. The road leads to the town of Pasanauri, where you can observe a unique phenomenon - the confluence of the White and Black Aragvi rivers.
