The iconic unique and iconic Holsten Gate is one of the most famous landmarks in Northern Europe and a proud symbol of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. Marvel at this spectacular medieval Gothic construction built over half a millennium ago in 1464. From there, marvel at the old salt storehouses, the marketplace, and the imposing Town Hall. See the Gothic Basilica, a veritable model for subsequent red-brick churches in the Baltic Region, which has the tallest brick vault in the world.
