Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to learn more about the tradition of reindeer herding in Lapland. Become a reindeer herder yourself for a few hours as you feed the animals and take a sledge ride.
Spend 3 hours with the animals that are truly the symbol of Lapland: the reindeer. After pickup, you’ll be driven to a traditional reindeer farm to get to know these beautiful beasts.
Help the reindeer prepare for a Lappish winter by feeding them delicious and nutritious food. The reindeer are happy to act as models, too, so take as many photos with the animals as you’d like. Local reindeer herders and farmers will be there to explain the traditions of the reindeer herding lifestyle and answer any questions you may have about life on the Arctic Circle. Learn as well about how the herders know which reindeer belong to them and how the families work together, as in the old times.
You’ll also have the chance to experience a short reindeer ride in a sledge before enjoying biscuits and warm tea.
