Day 1: Axum to Gheralta
- Depart from Axum early in the morning.

- Overnight stay in a lodge or guesthouse in Gheralta.

Day 2: Gheralta to Hawzen

- Drive to Hawzen, a town near many of the Tigray churches.
- Visit more churches in the Hawzen area, such as Debre Tsion or Yohannes Maequddi.

Day 3: Hawzen to Axum
- Depart from Hawzen and start the journey back to Axum.
