Your great trip to Quilotoa Lagoon begins in the city of Quito, where our assigned guide will pick you up from the place where you are staying in Quito. During the course of the trip you will be able to observe the mountainous landscape until you reach our first stop, the Forestal viewpoint. Once here you will be able to have a better observation of the beautiful city of Quito.
We will continue to Pujilí or Saquisilí, a place known for its markets that show the cultural and gastronomic identity of the place. You will have the opportunity to delight in typical flavors of Ecuador, from its fresh fruits to traditional dishes.
Our next stop will be a visit to an indigenous family near Laguna del Quilotoa. This family will kindly welcome you into their home, you will be able to learn more about their cultures and traditions.
Before arriving at Quilotoa we will arrive at the community of Tigua, this place is famous for its handicrafts of goat leather paintings, through these paintings they transmit their rural Andean life, they will show you the artisan workshops and an explanation of how they are made.
Finally we will go to the Quilotoa Lagoon where you can walk along the trails to reach the crater of the lagoon, while you have one of the most impressive views of the Ecuadorian Andes. Upon arriving here, if you wish, you can do the kayak activity in the turquoise waters. To then continue with the return walk, and be able to enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to the city of Quito. After having had a wonderful experience on this tour.
