Visit the rose plantations of Tabacundo and the town of Otavalo on a day trip from Quito. Learn about the rose production process, visit the Quitsato Sundial and taste the famous Cayambe biscuit.
We will visit a plantation producing the famous Ecuadorian roses and learn about the cultivation process. We will continue to Mitad del Mundo, near Cayambe where we will make a stop to enjoy the Ecuadorian snack, the bizcocho. We will continue our journey to Otavalo and on the way we will visit the sundial of Quitsato, in the Middle of the World.
The San Pablo lagoon is a beautiful place to admire and take pictures from the viewpoint, and then we will head to the Peguche waterfall, an incredible waterfall known for its ancestral and cultural significance.
To finish this incredible tour, we will visit the museum "Ñanda Mandachi" where Andean ancestral instruments are exhibited, after this stop we will go to the leather goods producer city called Cotacachi, the different articles that are exposed are made of animal leather in a handmade way.
