Filmtour Düsseldorf - From Hollywood to Netflix – this is the title of a new tour by DU Tours, which starts at the beginning of March 2023. Again and again on Sundays it goes to exciting locations in the city center and old town.
Halle Berry enchants Düsseldorf during its shoot in front of the Dreischeibenhaus. Rainer Werner Fassbinder in a leopard suit causes a sensation as a commissioner. Götz George alias Schimanski fights in the high-rise canteen of the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Rheinland. And Dominik Graf lets the pyrotechnicians whirl around at the Nikko Hotel, while a few meters away the "King of Stonks" is at home.
But it's also about anecdotes, gossip and reports from contemporary witnesses. Not to forget Düsseldorf's past as a city of 60 cinemas and home to stars such as Oscar winner Luise Rainer, Wim Wenders, Campino and Harry Piel, the James Bond of Düsseldorf. 
And – it's also about "hidden champions" – which are enormously important for the success of films, but which almost nobody knows.
The film tour starts at the Nikko Hotel and leads via Dreischeibenhaus, Art Academy and Town Hall to the Film Museum, which is always worth a visit and celebrates its 30th birthday in 2023.
