Visit the spectacular Gothic-style Karlstein Castle, where you will discover amazing history including some of the favorite places of King Charles IV.
After being collected from your accommodation, your tour to this Gothic castle will begin, leading you through the picturesque Czech countryside. Karlštejn Castle holds an absolutely exceptional position among Czech castles. It was established in 1348 by the Czech king and Roman emperor Charles IV as a place to store the royal treasures, collections of holy relics and the crown jewels.
In the Chapel of the Holy Cross, you will be able to contemplate the pictures of Master Theodoric, as well as see the largest portrait gallery of Czech rulers in the country. You will view exhibited replicas of the crown of the Holy Roman Emperors, as well as St. Wenceslas's crown.
Your tour will include a visit to the castle, the surrounding areas and will also have some time for lunch at local Czech restaurant. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be dropped off back at your point of origin.
