Leave Zagreb and head in direction of Plitvice Lakes. The first stop on the itinerary is the picturesque waterfalls village of Rastoke, located at the confluence of the two rivers. Stroll through the town to admire the unique rural architecture and waterfalls.
Continue to Plitvice Lakes National Park. This is Croatia’s oldest and most visited national park, and UNESCO listed it as a World Heritage Site in 1979.
Water has formed waterfalls for centuries and created 16 crystal-clear lakes in this area. Enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the forest landscape and the lakes that are connected by a series of waterfalls.
