Enjoy sunrise at Angkor Wat and explore the ancient world heritage site. Plus Angkor Thom City, Bayon, Ta Phrom (Tomb Raider)Temple, Banteay Kdei, Terrace of the Elephants and Leper King and more.
This day is a once in a lifetime must do.
You will be picked up from your accommodation and purchase the Angkor Pass on the way that morning, if not already done so online. Arrive at the magnificent UNESCO heritage listed site of Angkor Wat prior to sunrise and secure prime position and a great vantage point to experience sunrise. You can spend the cooler morning hours exploring the ancient temple galleries at your leisure before progressing to other nearby temples in the archeological park.
Enter Angkor Thom City through one of the 5 impressive gates and spend time at Bayon Temple, recognizable by its numerous large faces, Ta Phrom Temple made famous in the Tomb Raider movie, as well as the Terrace of the Elephants and Leper King, Banteay Kdei Temple and Sras Ancient Pool.
Step back to the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries, learn about the Khmer Empire and each of the sites you will get to experience during the day.
Return back to your accommodation in the early to mid afternoon taking a break from the heat of the day.

The floors of the Temples are uneven in parts with opportunity to climb up steep steps but is not essential to do so if you choose not to.
