Depart Tirana for the day to hike through Albania's impressive nature. Once having ascended to the top of Gamti Mountain, you can enjoy Bovilla’s wonderful lake views before making the return trip down.
Your experience begins as you are collected from your accommodation at 8:00AM, from where you depart for Bovilla Lake. The road is about 21 kilometers long, with half of it being off-road. Along the way, enjoy views of the suburban neighborhoods of Tirana, taking in the very different lifestyle to that of the city.
Drive up to the lake's dam, before preparing to hike in Gamti Mountain. Your hiking track is of a simple level, with each step providing you with a more beautiful view than the last as you ascend to the top.
Your hike lasts about 40 minutes, and on top of the hill you can enjoy the impressive views of the lake and the green hills that surround it. Whilst there, take some time to rest, enjoy the gorgeous view, and talk and eat food under the shadows of the cave. Following your break, return back down via the same track.
Once done hiking, make a short stop at the river below the dam, which is home to unique canyons. You can also choose to refresh yourself with a swim in the fresh water of the river. At the conclusion of your adventure, your guide returns you back to Tirana.
