Embark on a spectacular mountain adventure on this small-group bike tour. This easy-riding guided ride descends from the summit of Mt. Wellington and meanders through subalpine & temperate rainforest.
Your adventure starts with a fun and interesting minibus shuttle to the summit of Mt Wellington, 1270m above sea level. After taking in the amazing 'on top of the world' views, you'll be fitted to a mountain bike and take off on a thrilling 6 km descent on the summit road. Following this, an expert local guide will ride with you on an enchanting nature trail through temperate rainforest. As you ride, you'll experience the majesty of towering eucalyptus forests, duck under giant ferns, stop at a waterfall, walk under historic aqueducts, gaze into crystal clear babbling streams, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some curious local wildlife. The adventure starts and finishes at the tour operator's office in South Hobart.
